Pink October - it's just three weeks until Little 'Pink' Borough and Milnrow 'Pink' Hey kick off annual fundraiser

Date published: 11 September 2022

The villages of Littleborough, Milnrow and Newhey will be painted pink next month for cancer awareness.

Both the Milnrow ‘Pink’ Hey and Little ‘Pink’ Borough campaigns see windows across the Pennines put on their very best pink displays throughout October, cancer awareness month, to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

With only three weeks to go, all shops, businesses and residents in the Pennines are invited to take part in this year's Little ‘Pink’ Borough and Milnrow ‘Pink’ Hey campaigns. This will involve creating a pink window display, and providing a charity box and poster (supplied by the organisers).

A prize is available for the best window display, which will be judged by an independent (date to be confirmed).

For Little ‘Pink’ Borough’s seventh year of running, Hunters will be sponsoring this event and Sterling Solutions Ltd will be sponsoring Milnrow ‘Pink’ Hey’s for their second year.

Last year's event raised a combined £18,000.

Milnrow ‘Pink’ Hey is organised by Tracey Jacobs, of Tracey’s All Things Scents; Brian and Suzanne Gumbley, of Brian Gumbley Accountancy Services; and Kath and Andy O’Donnell, organisers of Little ‘Pink’ Borough.

Any businesses wishing to participate can email Tracey to confirm so a pack can be sent out.
