Two seriously injured after Spotland Road collision

A person is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after a collision between a motorcycle and a pedestrian on Spotland Road on Thursday evening (1 September). 

Both the rider and the pedestrian were taken to hospital where they continue receiving treatment.

One person has been left with what has been described as life-threatening injuries and another with serious injuries.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 8pm last night, officers were called to reports that a motorcycle being ridden on Spotland Road in Rochdale had collided with a pedestrian.

"Our enquiries are ongoing and we appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have dash-cam footage from around the area at the time, to get in touch with us on 0161 856 4741 quoting incident number 3059 of 01/09/2022.

"Details can be passed anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
