The cordon in place near The Food Warehouse and Globe Taxi
Whitworth Road is currently closed in both directions between St Mary's Gate and Princess Street (4.30pm Thursday 1 September).
The road is currently cordoned off between Princess Street and Haynes Street in both directions due to a road traffic collision, says Transport for Greater Manchester.
GMP has been contacted for comment.
