Norden boy raises £2,700 for Little Princess Trust after growing his hair for 4 years

Date published: 30 August 2022

A local 10-year-old boy has raised £2,700 for the Little Princess Trust after growing his hair for four years.

Kayden Malik wanted to grow his hair so he could donate it to be made into a real-hair wig for children who had lost their own hair through cancer.

Kayden braved the chop at Norden Cricket Club on Friday (26 August), where Natasha Mills from the Barber’s Lounge, cut his hair into a shorter style.

With a raffle held before the big event, Kayden has raised £2,716.50 to be donated to the Little Princess Trust along with his hair.

The Little Princess Trust supplies real-hair wigs for children with conditions that result in hair loss, such as alopecia or chemotherapy.

Mum Sabrina said: “We as parents are super proud and thought it would be nice to share his achievement.”

Donations can still be made via JustGiving.
