Staff and customers from Williams MINI on Gorrels Way in Rochdale will partake in a virtual bike ride to raise funds for Maggie's Cancer Centres
Staff and customers from Williams MINI on Gorrels Way in Rochdale will come together over the weekend of 20 and 21 August to raise funds for Maggie's Cancer Centres.
Over the course of the weekend, they will partake in a virtual bike ride on exercise bikes located in each North West showroom in Bolton, Liverpool, Manchester, Rochdale, and Stockport.
The teams will be riding a virtual circuit between Maggie’s Manchester, Maggie’s Oldham and Maggie’s Wirral, totalling 121 miles. The team which completes the most laps of the circuit, will be crowned Bike for Maggie’s Challenge winners 2022.
The virtual bike ride is part of a pledge made by Williams to raise money for Maggie’s to help raise funds to continue their work supporting those going through cancer and all their families.
Alexandra Cook, development director at the Williams Group, said: “Our virtual bike ride over the weekend is open to anyone passing by any of the Williams MINI centres, and we would welcome anyone who could join us for a short session on the bike in our showroom to help us achieve our goals.”
Adds Robin Muir, centre head at Maggie’s Manchester, added: “We are delighted that the Williams team have once again come up with a creative and fun way to raise funds for us as part of their ongoing commitment to Maggie's.”
