Fabdance with their trophies
Rochdale’s Fabdance Centre danced its way to the top at the British Isles Championships in Blackpool earlier this month.
The Rooley Moor Road-based dance school competed against other dance schools from across England, Scotland, and Wales.
Sisters Gracie and Ivy Bradshaw, aged 11 and four, respectively, stole the show, winning their fast and solo sections, despite having never entered a competition before. Millie Davies also won the dancers' dancer award at the prestigious awards evening.
Fiona Briddon, school principal, teacher and owner of Fabdance Centre, said: "I have always been proud of all our students from the studio but never in a million years did we expect these results! It was such an honour for Millie to be awarded her accolade, as she was our first ever student to compete and has been with us since we first opened.
“We had held fundraising events to help towards the expenses of the competition with local businesses providing raffle prizes. We would just like to personally thank our amazing sponsors, The Oxford, on Whitworth Road, for our uniform.”
