Springhill Hospice Sunflower Appeal
Springhill Hospice’s gardens will bloom once again this year with sunflower plaques dedicated to your loved ones, welcoming the summer sun whilst celebrating the lives of your nearest and dearest.
The annual Sunflower Appeal gives you the opportunity to honour those who have touched your lives by making a donation to Springhill Hospice. In return, you will receive a personalised sunflower plaque that can be displayed in the beautiful surroundings of the Hospice gardens or can be sent directly to your home for you to display in your own meaningful place.
Louise Lewis, whose mum Christine was cared for at the Hospice said, “I can never say thank you enough to everyone who cared for mum and my family. The one way I can show my thanks is to help raise money for Springhill whenever I can. We buy a sunflower plaque for the Sunflower Appeal and we also support Light up a Life at Christmas.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being the people you are and the for the care you provide. You really are one in a million.”
Danielle McCullough, Springhill’s Individual Giving Fundraiser said, “With sunnier days drawing closer, Springhill is honoured to celebrate your loved ones in the tranquillity of our beautiful gardens, whilst providing vital funds to aid Hospice care in the Rochdale borough. We look forward to welcoming our community of supporters to join us at our Summer Garden Celebration on Sunday 7 August, where the sunflower dedications will be on display.”
This year, supporters will also be able to purchase sunflower pin badges and cast iron sunflower bird feeders which will be available via Springhill Hospice’s website. Please visit www.springhill.org.uk/sunflower-appeal to dedicate a sunflower in memory of your loved one.
