Rochdale Borough Council is on the hunt for staff to fill a number of vital roles and will be hosting two recruitment fairs at its Number One Riverside office.
Teams from across the council will be showcasing a variety of opportunities to work in areas like planning, HR, finance, early years, IT, customer services, environmental management, social work, healthcare, school support, economic development, teaching, cleaning and other roles like fostering or being a school governor.
The recruitment fairs are being held on:
- Thursday 12 May 2022, 2pm - 6pm at Number One Riverside
- Saturday 14 May 2022 9am – 12.30pm at Number One Riverside
Opportunities are available for students, college and university graduates, qualified professionals and people with experience to apply for - with some roles being available for interview on the day. There will be a range of full-time, part-time, permanent and casual roles available.
Steve Rumbelow, chief executive of Rochdale Borough Council, said: “The world of work has changed a lot over the pandemic and I’m proud of our staff for their resilience, their desire to do good and their ability to adapt and rise to the challenge, I’m sure they’d say no two days are the same. Our people are our strength, you’d be joining a dedicated workforce and an employer that wants to invest in you and your progression.
“We’re not just births, bins and burials, we’re everything in-between. Working at a council is a wonderful opportunity to make a real and lasting impact on our residents, our environment and our businesses; which is incredibly rewarding.
“We have a fantastic range of roles available for people to either kick-start their career or to come to us to progress, so come along to our events and see what we can offer you.”
At the event, the council’s work and skills team will be on hand to support people with how to complete application forms, write a strong curriculum vitae (CV) and they will be able to support applications to apply for vacancies on the day.
