A group of Rochdale women have raised £250 for Diabetes UK with a pubwalk.
The W3 Ladies of Rochdale raised £248.18 for the causes after walking from the Red Lion in Littleborough to the Cask and Feather in Rochdale.
Tina Merrick, Donna Smith, Linda Phillips, Pauline Duffy, Angela Jennings, Jane Young, Karen Greaves, Mandy Connellan and Julie Catlow – who chose the cause as she has Type 1 diabetes – all carried buckets with the Diabetes UK logo on and wore sashes.
They visited six pubs in total, including the Wheatsheaf, the Queen’s, the Greengate and the Bull’s Head.
Julie said: “The pub owners and customers were so kind and generous. It was a fun charity day out; thank you to everyone that kindly donated to Diabetes UK from Littleborough and Rochdale.
“We look forward to planning the next charity event.”
The W3 Ladies usually host three charity events each year in Rochdale.
