Former Man of Rochdale Paul Ellison is tackling a 100-mile walking challenge for the Royal British Legion.

Paul, 39, will be walking 100 miles throughout April to raise £500 for the charity, which has supported service men and women, and ex-serving personnel as well as their families since its inception after World War One.

Paul, who has already raised over £200 towards the cause, said: “Please join me in supporting a good cause and your contribution will make an impact to those who served and are currently serving.”

Walk 100 miles in April is an annual fundraising challenge for the Royal British Legion. Supporters are asked to walk 100 miles throughout the month, either as a few miles each day, or larger walks – or even by cycling or swimming.

Participants will receive a free t-shirt and everyone who raises £200 will receive a unique commemorative RBL 100 medallion to mark the achievement.

Donations can be made via Facebook.
