400 properties affected by power cut near Rochdale Infirmary

An area of Rochdale has been affected by a power cut

Around 400 people and businesses in Rochdale near the Infirmary have been left without electricity today (Tuesday 29 March).

The power cut is expected to be resolved by 2.10pm today, after being caused by “an unexpected incident on the high voltage cable that provides electricity.”

The area affected includes Whitehall Street, Quarry Street and Duke Street up to Mizzy Road, Heights Lane and Heights Avenue.

A team of engineers from Electricity North West are on site as of 12pm to investigate and resolve the issue.
