Man suffers serious injuries after collision on Whitworth Road

A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision on Whitworth Road, Rochdale this weekend.

The man, a pedestrian, was involved in a collision at around 7pm on Saturday evening (26 March).

A section of Whitworth Road between Haynes Street and Townhead was closed for some time in both directions.

A spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service said: “We responded to an RTC involving a pedestrian. He was taken to the hospital with potentially serious injuries.”

Greater Manchester Police has also been contacted for comment.
