M60 Ride for Ukraine raises over £4,000

Date published: 23 March 2022

The Ring of Blue and Yellow Ride around the M60 on Sunday (20 March) has raised over £4,000 for the people of Ukraine.

The ride, organised by Rochdale group Brass Knuckle Riders, saw around 1,500 bikers wearing the blue and yellow colours of the Ukrainian national flag take to the motorway to raise money for Ukrainian refugees.

In total, £4,476.45 was raised for local organisation EastLancs4Ukraine, which is delivering aid on the ground in the Eastern European country.

Paul Whitaker, of the Brass Knuckle Riders, said: “We can’t believe how generous you all were. Every penny you gave will go towards helping aid workers help Ukrainian refugees and the victims of war in Ukraine. Brass Knuckle Riders do not take any charges; the full amount raised will be handed over.

“Thank you, each and every one of you.”
