Jobs event showcases opportunities across health and social care

There will be a range of roles across adult care, children's services and the health sector showcased

Jobs in health and social care will be showcased at a big recruitment fair at Middleton Arena on Wednesday 30 March.

The day will feature a wide range of opportunities across adult care, children’s services and the health sector.

Scores of roles will be available to apply for on the day in social work, occupational therapy, care homes, domiciliary care, business support, administration, support planning and many more.

Teams from the council, care homes, voluntary sector, health providers and the NHS will be on hand to answer questions, talk through employment opportunities and showcase the range of jobs currently available.

The event will feature opportunities for students, college and university graduates, qualified professionals and people with experience working in the health and social care sector. There will be full-time, part-time, permanent and casual roles available.

Councillor Iftikhar Ahmed, cabinet member for adult care said: “We are proud of the innovative health and social care services delivered across the borough and this is a fantastic opportunity for people to join the team, to make a difference and care for others. The day will showcase a range of opportunities across health and social care.

“There will also be a range of jobs working in governance and business support, which is a key part of our adult care service delivery. This jobs event will showcase a range of opportunities across adult care, children’s services, care homes, occupational therapy, and administration support.
