New podcast sharing Stories of Strength from women across Rochdale
Date published: 11 March 2022
Stories of Strength is a podcast sharing stories told by women from across the Rochdale borough
A new podcast series commissioned by Action Together will share 100 stories of women across the Rochdale borough overcoming adversity.
Stories of Strength will include stories about friends and family, migration, motherhood, relationships, work and women’s health and wellbeing.
Each episode is designed around the important notion that ‘you are not alone’. Like sitting down for a brew with a friend, the aim is for listeners to feel more confident, inspired, empowered, and find strength after each listen.
The podcast will share relatable, experience-led guidance through the stories, signposting to support and including trigger warnings where necessary, while each episode ends on a positive note.
Stories of Strength is for women and nonbinary people from across the Rochdale region, especially those in our community who are looking for relatable and inspiring stories. Multi-language in parts, the stories and contributors will reflect our diverse region.
The podcast launched with a trailer for International Women’s Day on Tuesday 8 March, with the full series to begin on Tuesday 22 March. Stories of Strength will be available on all podcast players like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Google Podcasts, and can be heard on smart speakers too.
