Missing man could be in Rochdale

Date published: 25 September 2008

Police in Blackburn are growing increasingly concerned for a missing man who could be in Rochdale, where he has previously lived.

Brian Partington, 60, has not been seen since 4.45pm on Tuesday (23 September) when he left his home in Blackburn.

He is described as white, 5ft 5ins tall, with grey collar length, straight hair, blue eyes, a slim build and a pale complexion. He was last seen wearing a navy blue jumper with white stripes, dark blue jeans, a green woolly hat, a tanned sheep skin jacket and white trainers.

Mr Partington has gone missing before and has previously been found in Littleborough.

PC Jackie Dunn, of Blackburn police, said: “We are really concerned for Brian as he has not been seen for some time and we believe that he is vulnerable. I appeal to anyone who has seen Brian or knows where he is to contact us immediately. We just want him to return home safe and well.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 01254 51212 or the charity 'Missing People' confidentially on 0500 700 700 or email seensomeone@missingpeople.org.uk.
