Date published: 15 February 2022
There is the potential for inland wind gusts of 60-70 mph in places
Storm Dudley is to bring a spell of very strong winds and a risk of disruption later this week.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather alert for wind from 3pm Wednesday (16 February) and into the small hours of Thursday (17 February).
Whilst the warning covers much of the UK, there is still some uncertainty in the timing and location of the strongest winds. The Met Office says there is the “potential for inland wind gusts of 60-70 mph in places.”
It adds: “The worst of the winds will ease through Thursday morning, though remaining generally windy during the day.”
