Rescue cat Spritzer is collecting Easter eggs for Fairfield Hospital again

A cat who regularly visits Fairfield Hospital is once again helping to collect Easter eggs for patients and staff.

Rescue cat Spritzer and her owner Heléna Abrahams are aiming to amass 2,000 Easter eggs through their campaign, which began when the tuxedo cat went missing for one day six years ago.

Heléna was quick to fit the cat with a tracker and saw that she was a regular visitor at Fairfield Hospital, where she had won over patients and staff alike.

Since then, Heléna has worked with Morrisons Heywood, Tesco Bury, Poundland Bury and Aldi Bury to raise funds for the Easter eggs, before handing them over to local politicians James Daly and Luis McBriar, who present them to the hospital.

Heléna is aiming to double the 1,000 eggs she helped to collect last year, and you can donate in the shops when the stands are set up or send donations via PayPal to helenaabrahams@hotmail.com.
