Date published: 24 September 2008

Police in Blackburn are growing increasingly concerned for a missing man.

Brian Partington, 60, has not been seen since 4.45pm on Tuesday 23 September when he left his home on Lancaster Place, Blackburn.

Police are making enquiries in the local area as well as further afield in Chapel, Allerton in Leeds, where he has family and in Rochdale where he has previously lived.

He is described as white, 5ft 5ins tall, with grey collar length, straight hair, blue eyes, a slim build and a pale complexion. He was last seen wearing a navy blue jumper with white stripes, dark blue jeans, a green woolly hat, a tanned sheep skin jacket and white trainers.
PC Jackie Dunn said: “We are really concerned for Brian as he has not been seen for almost 24 hours and we believe that he is vulnerable. I appeal to anyone who has seen Brian or knows where he is to contact us immediately. We just want him to return home safe and well.”
