Little 'Pink' Borough and Milnrow 'Pink' Hey raise over £13k for Cancer Research UK

Both the Milnrow ‘Pink’ Hey and Little ‘Pink’ Borough campaigns see windows across the Pennines put on their very best pink displays throughout October (pictured: Busy Beans Coffee, joint winner of Little 'Pink' Borough 2021)
This year’s pink displays in Littleborough, Milnrow and Newhey have raised an incredible £13,000 for Cancer Research UK.
Both the Milnrow ‘Pink’ Hey and Little ‘Pink’ Borough campaigns see businesses across the Pennines put on their very best pink window displays throughout October, cancer awareness month, to raise money for the cause.
This year, Little ‘Pink’ Borough raised £6,135.47 and Milnrow ‘Pink’ Hey raised £7,758.41 for a combined total of £13,893.88.
Kath O’Donnell, of the Three Amigos FUNdraising group, which runs the Little ‘Pink’ Borough campaign, said: “We are overwhelmed with this fantastic amount for Cancer Research UK.
“Thank you to each and every one of you who have supported, donated, raised awareness etc. throughout the month of October. This event is for all cancers. This has been a very tough time for us after suddenly losing my dad; he will be very proud of this.
“A special thanks to Suzanne Gumbley, Tracey Jacobs and Brian Gumbley for giving their time and helping this event being such a great success.”
Little ‘Pink’ Borough is organised by Kath and Andy O’Donnell, the Three Amigos FUNdraising group, whilst Milnrow ‘Pink’ Hey is organised by Tracey Jacobs, of Tracey’s All Things Scents; Brian and Suzanne Gumbley, of Brian Gumbley Accountancy Services.
Little ‘Pink’ Borough has taken place annually since 2016; this year was the first Milnrow ‘Pink’ Hey.
This year's winners were Newhey Butchers, Busy Beans Coffee and the Image Warehouse.
