Rochdale Training has raised over £1,800 for Springhill Hospice after completing a half marathon walk.
Thirteen apprentices, employees, and partners at Positive Steps raised a total of £1,884.16.
The route started at training provider’s premises on Fishwick Street, before progressing to Littleborough via the John Milne pub and Hollingworth Lake. They returned via the canal back to Rochdale Town Hall.
The three employees who raised the most funds were also granted a bonus day off; these were Nathan Finn, Leanne Glynn and Molly Williams.
Vicki Murray, Corporate and Partnerships Fundraiser at Springhill Hospice said: “This is incredible; thank you to all involved.”
Mark Whittaker, of Rochdale Training, said: “All the team are eager to raise funds for our local hospice. This is a team approach, and we are looking forward to the next challenge, the Grand Raffle. We have several prizes already including family days out, drinks hamper, beauty treatments and premium wood burners made by our very own engineering apprentices.
“We are keen to hear from employers who would like to get involved and offer a prize. It’s also great promotion for their business.”
