Three taken to hospital after Spotland Road crash

Three people have been taken to hospital following a collision on Spotland Road on Monday evening (19 April).
The two-vehicle collision outside Lucky Fish Bar at 7.30pm was attended by three fire engines from Rochdale, a technical response unit from Leigh, five ambulances and an advanced paramedic.
Fire crews worked to release four trapped casualties both vehicles using specialist equipment, before they were transferred to the care of the North West Ambulance Service. The fire service was at the scene for around 90 minutes.
A spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service said: “We mobilised a number of resources including five ambulances and an advanced paramedic.
“We have taken three patients to hospital, including a man in 20s with leg injuries. There were also a number of other walking wounded.”
Greater Manchester Police has also been contacted for comment.
