Oh yes it's ladies night for Hospice
Date published: 09 September 2008
Springhill Hospice is hosting a ladies night to raise vital funds.
The event will take the form of a fashion show with designs from some of Rochdale's top independent retailers.
The Hospice's fundraising administrator Kath Meredith has organised the one-off evening. She said: "We have lots of things going on during the year but I thought it was a good idea to do a ladies event and now it has turned into a big fashion show with two or three businesses in Rochdale.
"We're expecting to have more than 200 people there. If we could get more than that then it would be wonderful. We've got to aim big!"
Fashions from Denis Hope and Chantilly lingerie of Rochdale town centre and Marabella of Norden will all be on show.
The ladies night takes place on Thursday 2 October at The Riverside, Whitworth Civic Hall on Market Street and will start at 7.30pm.
There will be fashion stalls, where you might be able to pick up some early Christmas presents, and a raffle will take place on the night.
Tickets are priced £10 and include a complimentary drink.
Tickets are available from Springhill Hospice on Broad Lane or by telephoning the Hospice on 01706 649920. Customers can pay by credit card over the phone. Denis Hope, Chantilly, Marabellas, Brian Andrews (Norden) and The Salon (Norden) are all selling tickets in-store.
