Talk about public transport in Rochdale
Date published: 09 September 2008
Transport bosses will be on hand in Rochdale next week to discuss services with members of the public.
Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Authority (GMPTA) is hosting a transport drop-in session at Middleton Bus Station on Tuesday 16 September from 4pm to 6pm.
Officers from GMPTA and GMPTE will be attending and representatives from the train and bus operators serving Rochdale have also been invited.
The event is the third of four to be held in Rochdale this year.
Councillor Zulfiqar Ali, GMPTA spokesperson for Rochdale, said: “Previous drop-ins have raised issues relating to overcrowding, late-running services, withdrawals, service information, access, facilities and security.
“Such feedback is invaluable as we work with transport operators to provide the best possible services for people in Rochdale.
“So if you want to let us know how you think we or the operators can improve, please come along on Tuesday.”
Four drop-in sessions a year are being held at bus stations, key transport interchanges, and other suitable locations.
