Rochdale will join the Greater Manchester Food & Drink Festival for the second time in 2008. The festival in October will feature a Pennines ‘Mini Fest’ based around Littleborough and restaurant events across the Borough from Middleton to Heywood, Rochdale to Milnrow.

Demetri's Greek Night 26/09/2008
Traditional Greek Cypriot Meze with live Bouzouki music, plate smashing and free ouzo; a fun family night with great food. Littleborough's historic Coach House Heritage Centre transforms its bistro restaurant in the evening when owner Stewart Demetriades goes back to his family's Greek Cypriot roots to provide an authentic Greek experience in an atmospheric Lancashire setting. 26th and 28th September 2008, 7.30pm, £25 set menu. Ten days of Seafood and Vegetarian Specials 03/10/2008
Experience the best seafood and vegetarian tapas around by visiting Rake Inn Tapas during Rochdale's Food and Drink Festival. The Baum Tapas Nights 03/10/2008
The Baum Restaurant and Wine Bar is offering its customers any four tapas dishes for £10 during Rochdale 's Food and Drink Festival. The Baum is next to the home of the worldwide Co-op movement, the Rochdale Pioneers’ Museum, in the historic Toad Lane Conservation Area. Heroes Pie Launch 04/10/2008

To celebrate their first successful year of trading, Heroes Fine Foods shop and coffee bar present the first official showing of the 'Heroes Pie'. Bringing together three fantastic local heroes with Cissy Green's hand raised meat pie as the base and RS Ireland's delicious Championship Black Pudding sandwiched between Mrs Kirkham's Lancashire Cheese.

Madisons Spanish Evening 10/10/2008

Heroes Tasting 11/10/2008

Visit Heroes Fine Foods for a selection of classic northern traditional food. Cissy Green Pies served warm with their own recipe mushy peas, tasters from Leagrams Cheese, Andrews Delicacies Sausages served on Barbakan Bread. We will also be making our version of the Manchester Tart a forgotten classic and better than the school day lunch time memories.

Award winning fish restaurant Mr Thomas’s is celebrating getting its drinks licence by offering a free glass of wine or beer with every meal for two on the evenings of 10-12 October (and on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings in September). Littleborough’s Hollingworth Lake was known as The Weavers’ Seaport when holidaymakers from Lancashire’s industrial towns went there to relax. It’s still a great place to sit and watch the boats on the Lake amidst stunning Pennine scenery. And now you can enjoy a drink with your fish and chips, too!
