Last week, Impact attended an exhibition aimed at promoting Property services within the ‘blue light’ sector. Impact also sponsored the first ever Equestrian Event staged by the World Fire Fighter Games. Stephen Corkish, Accounts Director, Projects, said: “We met with a number of organisations including Cheshire Fire Service, who are just about to start the process of extending their HQ at Winsford, and with the Communities and Local Government team who are placing the National Procurement Strategy for the Fire and Rescue Service 2008 - 2011. During the Equestrian Event I spent quite some time (and I don't mean in police custody!) with the Chief Constable of Merseyside who revealed they are due to start a roll-out programme of refurbishment of their entire property portfolio. The event was a great success, offering some promising leads.”

Estate and Assets will identify sites and provide comprehensive site reports and analysis on development potential. This will be followed up with full land assessment reports which aim to
highlight those areas of Council-owned land that may be suitable for this important construction programme.
