Village Treasures charity shop in Milnrow
Milnrow’s Village Treasures charity shop, which supports the Friends of Milnrow Parish, is set to reopen on Monday (10 August) after lockdown.
Village Treasures has undergone a huge change around to follow government Covid guidelines, and is opening to a reduced timetable with a half-price sale of its clothing.
All stock was donated pre-lockdown.
Manager Fiona Wilson said: “The shop has had a massive sort out and change round to ensure we observe government guidelines to keep our volunteers and customers safe.
“We look forward to seeing our customers.”
Having been running for over 10 years, Village Treasures raises funds for the Friends of Milnrow Parish registered charity, which aims to raise funds for the refurbishing and repairs to Milnrow Parish Church (St James) and other worthwhile causes in the local area as approved by the trustees.
Village Treasures will be open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
Donations will be isolated for 48 hours and must not be brought to the shop. Donations should be taken to Butterworth Hall Community Centre between 10am and 12-noon on opening days.
