Edenfield Road has been closed, close to Cutgate Precinct
A section of Edenfield Road at Cutgate has been closed in both directions, after a flat roof surface came loose and was blown onto another roof overlooking the main road (Thursday 11 June).
Road closures are in place between Bagslate Moor Road and Sandy Lane, and there is no access onto Edenfield Road via Amy Street. Edenfield Road will remain closed until the materials can be cleared.
The roof is understood to have blown loose from a rear building, onto the roof of the dental practice on Edenfield Road.
Police are currently on scene.
Rochdale Borough Council and the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service have been contacted for comment.
