Potential firearms alleged to be discovered in abandoned vehicle

Police are currently responding to allegations of potential firearms in an abandoned vehicle in Rochdale.
Officers conducted a search of a vehicle on Suffolk Street, and discovered items which purported to be potential firearms.
The items are currently being assessed by a specialist team.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “Police responded to community information concerning an abandoned vehicle on Suffolk Street in Rochdale.
“There is no threat to the public.”
