Christmas festivities at Kentmere Academy and Nursery

Date published: 19 December 2019

The Christmas festivities are well under way at Kentmere Academy and Nursery in Smallbridge.

The children recently had a fabulous experience working with iSingPOP, which is a primary school music project that brings together school and the community.

Children performed two shows for parents and have recorded their very own album, featuring pop songs with positive lyrics. The songs create a climate where children are encouraged to appreciate their own worth and that of others.

The project engages children and their families, and offers schools the opportunity to work collaboratively with the local community.

A representative for the school said: “iSingPOP supports our enticing, enriching and engaging curriculum by providing a highly positive, memorable experience with rich opportunities for high quality learning.

“We are so proud of all of our pupils and thank the parents for joining us for our performances.”
