Eco-Friendly wrapping for gifts

Date published: 14 December 2019

If you think there isn’t an alternative to fancy wrapped gifts in expensive glossy wrapping paper, that you can’t recycle – think again.

There are lots of alternatives that don’t use paper at all, or use recycled paper, which can then be reused again.

If you have children use the children’s Christmas drawings as wrapping paper, grandparents, aunts and uncles will love the personal touch, and the children will be delighted their artwork is being shared – use string or ribbon instead of tape to fasten the gift.

For gift tags, reuse old Christmas cards (or birthday cards), just cut out the picture on the front, and then recycle the cardboard part of the card without any plastic or glitter on.

Be creative in your wrapping and find new free or cheap ways to cover your gifts.
