Firefighters rescue young man from Hollingworth Lake

Firefighters rescued a young man from Hollingworth Lake at around 9pm on Tuesday (29 October).
The fire service attended the scene after receiving reports of a person in the water.
The man, 20, was treated for ‘effects of the cold’ by the ambulance service after he was pulled from the lake. He was taken to hospital.
Two fire engines attended the scene along with a water incident unit and a technical response unit.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “We were called at 8.50pm to reports of a person in the water. We carried out a water rescue and were on scene for 45 minutes.”
