A body was found near the tea rooms at Healey Dell in Whitworth on Thursday (24 October).
Police were called to the area at 2.30pm after a body was found.
There are no suspicious circumstances.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “We were called at 2.30pm. A body was found but there are no suspicious circumstances.”
A file has been passed to the coroner.
