Doing Buses Differently: Public drop-in events in Rochdale

Date published: 27 October 2019

Rochdale MP, Tony Lloyd, is encouraging members of the public to attend the public drop-in events in Rochdale for the Greater Manchester Doing Buses Differently consultation.

Tony Lloyd MP said: "Private bus companies are leading project fear because they know that the people of Greater Manchester wants better, affordable, publicly controlled buses.

“40% of bus companies income is public money, yet we have a bad service, with little control.

"It's important that as many people as possible respond to the consultation, and I'd like to draw attention to the two public drop-in events taking place in Rochdale where officers from Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) will be on hand to answer your questions around the consultation."

The public drop-in events are taking place on:

  • Thursday 31 October, 3pm to 7pm at spACE @ Hare Hill House, Hare Hill Park, Littleborough, OL15 9HE
  • Thursday 21 November, 9am to 4pm, The Phoenix Centre, Church St, Heywood OL10 1LR

The consultation closes on 8 January and you can participate in the consultation via the Greater Manchester Combined Authority web site:
