Carers Fair at the Lighthouse Project

Date published: 27 October 2019

An exhibition of over 50 different services from health and community sectors came together at The Carers Fair at the Lighthouse Project on Friday 18 October.

Mayor Billy Sheerin was greeted by Carl Roach from the Lighthouse Project who provided the venue for the event and also by Tony Ette from Better Health 4 Middleton who organised the event.

Tony Ette from Better Health 4 Middleton said: “The aim was to bring together many services from the community, all under one roof, to give the public a chance to see some of the services available and at the same time, to allow the various services to meet each other and exchange views and knowledge.”

The Mayor visited the photographic group and spent some time talking to them about the photos on show. He also visited all the other exhibitors which ranged from Groundwork, Oldham and Rochdale to Age UK, Salford who came to talk about nutrition and hydration.
