Children join Stamford House residents for Halloween Friendship Morning

Date published: 25 October 2019

Stamford House Residential Home enjoyed a Halloween themed friendship morning on Tuesday 22 October with children from Mandi's childminding and Patricia's childminding.

Every month, two local childminders, Mandi's Childminding and Patricia's Childminding, visit Stamford House, off Milnrow Road, Rochdale with their minded children and the Stamford House events team host the fun sessions.

For this morning of spooky fun, children and residents enjoyed a story time with the Room on the Broom book, singing and dancing, party games and there was a best fancy dress competition, with the winner being the little ghost buster.

Edible chocolate sparklers were also made for snack time.

Both residents and children dressed up for Halloween and enjoyed the fun morning.

Roxanne Sharp from Stamford House Residiential Home said: "We run our friendship mornings monthly, we've been doing this for over a year and have formed a great bond with the children.

"We are thankful to both childminders for allowing us to host this session and look forward to our next one in November and then our Christmas party session in December. "
