Power cut in Sudden

A power cut in Sudden, Rochdale, has left around 500 people without power this afternoon (Tuesday 24 September).

Electricity North West reports 538 customers have been left without power due to the power cut, which was first reported at 2.30pm

Engineers are currently on site and the power is estimated to be restored at around 4.30pm.

Traffic lights near Tesco have also been affected.

Affected postcodes include:

OL11 3PG, OL11 4NW, OL11 4PE, OL11 4PH, OL11 4PU, OL11 4QP, OL11 3EL, OL11 3HE, OL11 3NH, OL11 3NJ, OL11 3NN, OL11 3NQ, OL11 3NS, OL11 3NW, OL11 3EP, OL11 3EW, OL11 3EU, OL11 4PP, OL11 4PG, OL11 4PS, OL11 4PT, OL11 4PW, OL11 4PX, OL11 4PY, OL11 4PR, OL11 4QW, OL11 4AP, OL11 4PQ, OL11 4QR

A spokesperson for Electricity North West said: “A fault on the network caused a power cut to 538 customers in Rochdale at 2.33pm. Engineers attended site and restored power to 243 customers at 3.01pm and are now working hard to restore power to the remaining 295 customers.
