Rochdale in Bloom and Balfour Beatty made the path at Coffee at the Craven safe after flags were stolen
Members of Rochdale in Bloom and Balfour Beatty have made a path safe at Springhill Hospice’s Coffee at the Craven after paving flags were stolen on Wednesday night (14 August).
The hazardous path has now been tarmacked after a number of flags were stolen.
Rochdale in Bloom vice chairman, Paul Ellison said: “After the thoughtless incident of the stone flags being stolen on Wednesday night at Coffee at the Craven, Rochdale In Bloom, James Mills and the team from Balfour Beatty were delighted to help out for such a good cause.
“We have made the path safe again, despite the horrible weather.”
A spokesperson for Springhill Hospice said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to Paul, James and the team at Balfour Beatty in Rochdale for making our footpath safe again at Coffee at the Craven.
“They even braved the horrible rain to help us and had time for a picture with Baby Springy.
“Thank you to everyone for their support and helping spread the word to help us get the footpath fixed.”
