RBH tenant appointed to national tenants’ panel

Turf Hill resident Lynne Brosnan has been appointed to the National Housing Federation’s tenant advisory panel.
Former local councillor Lynne, who also chairs the Rochdale Boroughwide Housing Representative Body, has been appointed to the new panel as a representative of the national “see the person” campaign, which aims to tackle the stigma associated with being a tenant in social housing.
The new panel will advise the National Housing Federation, as well as housing associations all across the country, on the “Together with Tenants” proposals. Together With Tenants is a national project, which aims to strengthen the relationship between housing associations and their tenants and residents.
The NHF tenant advisory panel will:
- advise, support and challenge the ongoing development of the Together with Tenants work
- assess how the elements of the offer have been implemented at a sector level by examining evidence and information
- make recommendations to the Federation based on evidence
Lynne said: “I’m delighted to have the opportunity to speak up for tenants across the country, and I will make sure that the tenant voice is heard loud and clear.”
