MiddFest 2019 – ‘a fabulous day’

MiddFest 2019 took place on Sunday (21 July) at Limefield Park, Middleton, organised once again by Middleton Round table with something for everyone to enjoy, from bands, dog shows, free books, rides for the children and stalls, all raising money for local charities.
Mayor, Billy Sheerin opened the event saying: "It's great to be here to open Middfest, and to see everyone, I shall be visiting the stalls and talking to people as I make my way round the festival.
"It's my first time at Middfest, and with the sun shining, it looks like it’s going to be a wonderful event. Middleton Roundtable have worked hard to put on this event."
Danny Young, chairman of Middleton Roundtable said: "It’s been a brilliant day, after the weather yesterday we are thrilled that the weather today is fine and dry.
"It’s great to see so many families here again, this event has been running long before I joined Roundtable."
There was a wide variety of things going on including: Fun Fair, Charity Stalls, Climbing Wall, Archery, Axe Throwing, Lazer Quest and the Beer Tent along with various bands and musicians playing including; The Penguin, The Last Race Home, and Swamp Dog and the Rock Choir.
The MuttFest Dog Show was on again this year, with two spectacular professional dog shows taking place.
Middleton Rotary Club gave out free books agin to every child as part of Buzzing Bee Bonanza.
Following the event Middleton Round Table said: "We can't thank you enough for coming along to MiddFest2019 its been a spectacular day, and the team couldn’t be happier about the turn out, a massive special thanks to our latest Chairman, Danny, and with it being his first time running MiddFest he’s done a spectacular job, thank you also to Middleton in Bloom who spent the day picking up litter.
“Once again Middleton, a fabulous day and thank you again!"
