Bikini car wash raises £270 for charity

Date published: 11 July 2019

A bikini car wash in Heywood by five UK Calendar Girl hopefuls has raised £270 for charity.

Claire Harrington, of Heywood, Sarah Doran, of Liverpool, Charlotte Hewison, Carrie-Anne Collins, of Cannock, and Niki Lomax, of Ramsbottom, donned their bikinis and set about washing the public’s cars for four hours at the Summit Pub on Saturday 6 July.

The funds raised by the girls will be split between The Chestnut Appeal for prostate cancer and Mental Health Awareness.

Claire said: “The day was a blast and it was so busy; it was like a conveyor belt. We had vans, cars, bikes and even a removal lorry, which we tackled with step ladders and lots of jumping.

“Thank you to everyone that came down and supported us, with a big thank you to Bamfort Print and Peel Graphics and John and the Summit Pub for letting us host our car wash there.”
