Hospice launches new ‘Comfort for All’ appeal
Springhill Hospice have launched a new fundraising appeal, ‘Comfort for All’, focussing on raising money for specific and vital equipment for their in-patient ward.
Items which the appeal is raising money for include state of the art adjustable beds, which make it easier for patients to sit up and get out of bed.
Other items include pressure relieving mattresses which help patients remain comfortable whilst in bed, but also distribute pressure to reduce the risk of pressure sores.
Smaller, but just as vital, items like bedside lamps and tables will also be bought with the money raised from the appeal.
Julie Halliwell, Chief Executive at Springhill Hospice said: “The Comfort for All appeal will enable us to continue giving our patients the most comfortable environment.
“Donations will help us buy vital pieces of furniture and equipment that as a Hospice we are always in need of.
“We are so grateful to all our supporters and the donations that they are able to give to the Hospice, not just for this appeal but all year round.”
