From an adrenalin rush to a relaxing family day out in the country, Hollingworth Lake will have it all at its Summer Special 2008.
At this year's Summer Special on Sunday 17 August, the countryside park will be hosting a whole range of family fun for the young and not so young - from action packed circus tricks and coconut shy to the more laid-back pleasures of music, willow sculpture and face painting.
Rochdale Council executive director, John Patterson said: “The Summer Special has got something for everyone. Visitors come from far and wide to enjoy a great day out for all the family and take pleasure in one of the most beautiful parts of the borough.”
The fun starts at 11am and goes on until after 4pm. The main activities will be around the visitor centre at Hollingworth Lake Country Park. For details, see the programme on the day. For more information contact the park rangers on 01706 373421.
