Rochdale man found guilty of murdering Lee McConnell

A man from Rochdale has been found guilty of murdering Lee McConnell, who was killed last summer.

Martin McBrine, 44, was found guilty by a unanimous jury verdict, whilst his co-defendant  Harry Mee, 70, was also found guilty by unanimous verdict of assisting an offender.

Jury deliberations at Manchester Crown Court ended on Tuesday afternoon (26 February) and both men have been remanded into custody ahead of sentencing on 7 March.

At around 10.15pm on 11 August 2018, emergency services were called to a property on Palatine Street to reports of an unresponsive man.

On arrival, officers discovered the body of a man, who was formally identified as 49-year-old Lee McConnell.
