Not all superheroes wear capes at Greenbank School

Date published: 14 February 2019

In a fitting end to their superhero topic in Early Years, Greenbank Primary School invited the real superheroes in many of our children's lives in for a fun-packed parent afternoon on 6 February.

Lots of mums and dads enjoying spending time with their children making superhero crafts, such as masks, shields and superhero models.

All enjoyed reading the books 'Superworm' and 'Supertato' before rescuing carrots from ice, feeding 'Supertato' some evil peas and creating a healthy snack fit for a superhero.

Early Years Leader, Linzi Williams said: “Our parent days are always a huge success and the feedback we receive is really rewarding with one parent writing, ‘Thank you to the teachers. Keep doing the great work, you are real super heroes’.

“It really was a fun day and lovely to see so many parents getting involved with their child's learning.”
