Man rescued from house fire in Heywood

A man was rescued from a house fire in Heywood on Friday morning (1 February).
Fire crews were called to the scene on Bury Old Road at around 7.18am and rescued the man using two breathing apparatuses and two hose reels, before he was taken to hospital by the ambulance service.
Three engines from Bury, Heywood and Whitefield attended the incident and were on scene for just over an hour.
