Whitworth water leak cancels Friday blood donor sessions
Date published: 25 January 2019
A water leak in Whitworth on Friday (25 January) has led to the cancellation of blood donor sessions at the Riverside Civic Centre.
The leak began some time on Friday afternoon on Millfold, and it is currently unknown how many people in the area are affected.
A spokesperson for the Civic Centre said: “We apologise that afternoon and evening donor sessions have had to be cancelled due to no water caused by a water leak at Millfold.
“We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.”
A spokesperson for Untied Utilities confirmed: “A leak on Millfold has been spotted and reported to us and our inspector is confirming if this is the cause of some of you having no water or just a trickle today.
“We will keep you posted as soon as we have more information. Thank you for your patience.”
