Hopwood DePree who moved from Los Angeles to Middleton, in August 2017 on a mission to save his ancestral home Hopwood Hall, has been appointed to the Board of the Heritage Trust Network.
Heritage Trust Network (HTN) is a membership organization run by people who have delivered amazing heritage projects against all the odds. Their mission is to help others do the same.
The HTN operates throughout the UK, drawing together and supporting the work of local heritage groups, whether constituted as building preservation trusts, community trusts or social enterprises. It is predominately run by professional volunteers.
Liz Bates, Chair of HTN said: “The trustees of the Heritage Trust Network unanimously support Hopwood's appointment to the board.
”Enabling new groups and individuals to save heritage at risk is a key aspect of HTN's work. Having seen Hopwood's dedication and hands-on approach to matters of conservation and heritage, we know that he will provide additional insight in this area and be a great asset to the team."
Hopwood DePree says: “I am honoured that the Heritage Trust Network (HTN) has invited me to join their Board.
“HTN is a tremendous resource, providing knowledge and assistance to ensure that significant historical assets are available for present and future generations.
“I'm passionate about renovating Hopwood Hall, so the prospect of being able to contribute to the preservation of heritage across the UK as a whole, is thrilling.”
