Bus firm Rosso to support students with new discount term ticket

Date published: 04 January 2019

Bus operator Rosso is launching a money-saving student ticket just in time for the start of term, offering unlimited travel on all of its buses within Greater Manchester, including its routes in Rochdale, Ramsbottom and Bury.

Rosso’s new GM Saver Student Term Ticket can be used on all Rosso buses within Greater Manchester, offering thrifty academics a chance to travel more for less across the region.

Rosso’s Operations Manager, Anthony Fiocca says: “Many of us remember the struggle to make student finances stretch across the first few months of the year. No sooner has the party season across Christmas and the New Year ended then it is back to college, with students needing to watch every penny until the Spring.

“That is why we are offering the cheapest deal to take students to college – and a whole lot more besides across the area. Bus travel offers a safe, environmentally friendly and low-cost way for students to get around, and it certainly gets an ‘A-star for value.”

Rosso’s GM Saver Student Term ticket is valid on all its services in the Greater Manchester ticket zone, which includes Rochdale, Littleborough, Ramsbottom, Bury, Radcliffe, and Bolton, from Monday 7 January to Friday 5 April inclusive.

The ticket costs £95, giving significant savings over the cost of buying bus tickets on the day of travel, plus the flexibility and value of being able to use any Rosso bus at any time within the area.

It is available from now until the end of January, from the free to download ‘Transdev Go’ app.
