One dedicated fundraiser has raised £25,000 for Springhill Hospice through selling at car boots.
John Fitch has been raising money for the Hospice through his car boot sales for the last few years in memory of his late partner, Christine. John has contributed £1,000 25 times to the Hospice in Christine’s memory, who was cared for at the Hospice in 2007.
John who lives in Lincolnshire, used to visit the Hospice regularly to hand over his donations. He was always welcomed back at the Hospice and would bring along a car full of good quality clothes to pass on to the Hospice to help raise even more money.
Julie Halliwell, CEO of Springhill Hospice said; “It is lovely that John keeps Christine’s memory very much alive in this way. John has a very active group of supporters, who donate goods for his car boot sales and I always write to John and his supporters to thank them for remembering Springhill from such a distance away.“
